Our Client is an established Independent Oil Company. The seek a Land Access and Re-Settlement Manager for their development efforts in Kanya. This is a large development with key responsibilities. Previous oil and gas and management experience is essential for this opportunity. Managing access to land to support operational requirements in line with the Client Land Access and Resettlement Framework and in timely and responsible manner is a critical activity.
The Client's Kenya Land Access and Resettlement Manager will lead all aspects of Client Land Access and Resettlement strategy, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting to support seismic activities, exploration and appraisal drilling, as well as full field development planning and implementation, including for pipeline and port infrastructure.
The appointed Manager will be responsible for ensuring appropriate site level permits are in place, securing community consent and managing potential economic and physical displacement to meet Client's internal requirements and those detailed in the International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s Performance Standards.
A CLIENT Land Access and Resettlement Framework has recently been established and the new Manager will be responsible for managing the Land Access and Resettlement Team to execute land access in line with this the new Framework.
The Client Kenya Land Access and Resettlement Manager will be based in Nairobi with frequent travel to Client operational areas. [r1] . A team will support the Land Access and Resettlement Manager. The appointed person will manage and coordinate the Nairobi and field based members of the Land Access and Resettlement team.
The Land Access and Resettlement Manager will report to the Client Kenya Social Performance Manager. The role requires considerable cross-functional engagement including with Exploration, Operations, Civils, Legal, Environment, Security and the London-based Development team.
