Job Description:
Our client is seeking a motivated Software Trainer to join its project implementation team. The software trainer trains customers in the configuration and use of our client’s software. Training topics include system configuration for the client’s specific industry, data entry of land agreements, reporting, system user security, and generation of land payments.
Responsibilities:
• Train users in the configuration and use of our client’s Property Management land asset management system
• Maintain and update training materials as new functionality is introduced
• Communicate with development, testing, and support departments on issues or potential improvements in products and services
• Partner closely with project managers on scheduling and scope of training
• Conduct training at client offices or via GoToMeeting (client discretion)
• Assist sales and marketing with demo preparations
Requirements:
• Experience in a land asset management industry, including oil & gas, coal, wind, transportation, pipeline/right-of-way, mining
• Training experience required; software training experience preferred
• Ability to learn new software quickly and easily
• Outstanding interpersonal skills; patience and flexibility
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• The ability to transfer knowledge in an efficient and pleasant manner
• Ability to instruct individuals and/or groups for several hours
• Ability to exercise patience with trainees possessing varying degree of computer knowledge/system skills
• Superior organizational skills
• Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and touch-typing skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required from an accredited university
